Aubrey grew up coonhunting with his Dad and uncles with many different types of hounds, though the Redbones were always his favorite. All of his hunting dogs as a kid were grade (no papers). When we got married, I purchased our first registered Redbone, and we never looked back. Clyde was an early starter, built right, and put all of Aubrey's past dogs to shame with his natural ability and talent for hunting. From there, we acquired several females from lines that would compliment ours, and Red Fever Redbones was born. We picked the name "Red Fever" because I always joked Aubrey had caught the Redbone Fever. As the kids came along, they got into it too, and we all enjoy raising, training, and campaigning the Redbones. We have been to many differents states at some of UKC's biggest events, and have raised and trained many Quadruple Champions and Grand Champions. We are home to the 4th ever Quadruple Grand Redbone Male "GRFCH GRWCH GRCH GRNITECH PR Hot Iron Ox", the first ever Quadruple Grand Champion female "GRFCH GRWCH GRCH GRNITECH PR Red Fever Gangsters Pair A Dice, and the 2013 American Redbone Days Hunt Champion "GRNITECH GRFCH GRCH Red Fever Tater." Unfortunately, as the kids have grown and life has become more busy, we do not campaign the Redbones much anymore, but we still have a few around that we enjoy to pleasure hunt. We also have semen stored on some of our past males, to hopefully carry on these strong hunting traits well into the future.
